The Alki News Beacon serves the community west of the West Seattle Bridge on Harbor Avenue, up to 52nd Avenue SW and to Jacobson Road on Beach Drive. It is run by volunteers supported by the Alki Community Council. The Beacon, both printed and online, is published in January, March, May, July, September and November. Philosophy and Policies Editorials reflect the concerns and research of the volunteer Beacon staff and do not necessarily reflect the view of the Alki Community Council. Signed columns and letters are opinions of the authors. The Alki News Beacon welcomes guest letters and columns for our printed and online publications, but available space and timeliness govern inclusion.
