 Best of Alki

Welcome to the Official Alki Beach Visitor's Guide! Brought to you by the Alki Community Council.

Seattle’s first settlers landed at Alki Beach for a reason. Visitors and residents alike are drawn to the sandy beaches and gorgeous views. Indulge in beach activities like volleyball or sunbathing, or stroll the 2.5-mile beachfront. Alki Beach is fun for the whole family! We hope this Guide will help you make your visit to Alki Beach an enjoyable one!

Admission:

FREE

Hours:

Dawn 'til Dusk

Parking:

Parking can be a challenge at Alki Beach. Here are some alternatives to driving:

Metro: Both the 37 and 56 service the Alki Area.

West Seattle Water Taxi: During the summer months, get to Alki via the Water Taxi. It leaves from Downtown at pier 54 and travels 8 minutes to Seacrest Boat House. From there, you are just a 2 mile scenic stroll from the beach.

Carpool: Instead of meeting friends at Alki, meet up beforehand and carpool. You’ll spend more time at the beach and less time looking for parking.

Car: If you must drive, parking is available on Alki Ave SW and side streets. Watch for driveways, no parking signs, police only parking and bus zones.
